Alexis Bittar sales handcrafted jewelry. With a few brick and mortar spots and an e-commerce site their reach is established in the US among fashionable brands.
This opportunity came to me through a mutual colleague who had to take medical leave for a period of time. The brand at the time, was in the middle of the holiday season and gearing to launch their new styles for the new year.
Alexis Bittar had a really well-established email presence with lots of data. Their sends were frequent but not garnering as much opens.
I made a conscious choice to pivot design to emulate the lifestyle and model images from their latest shoots. Seeing the edgy, bold style they were pushing, I pushed templates that admittedly would not work with many other brands. These emails show an editorial look with overlapping grid layouts, playful typography, and well placed copy.
